Beatrice Becette - Producer/Director
Beatrice Becette is a New York City based filmmaker who tells stories that spark connection and illuminate the threads that link us across time, place, and experience. She has worked across genres—from investigative and historical documentaries to lifestyle and educational series—and across sectors, partnering with respected news organizations and mission-driven brands. Her portfolio includes collaborations with clients such as National Geographic, Disney+, Discovery, MAX, NBC, The Washington Post, Lowe’s, and Booz Allen Hamilton. Regardless of format or client, her work remains rooted in a deep belief in the power of storytelling to reveal the human stories behind complex systems and events. Beatrice holds a degree in Film from American University with minors in Marketing and Creative Writing.
Kenzie Bruce - Consulting Producer
Kenzie Bruce is an Executive Producer at Blue Chalk. Kenzie has worked on projects for TIME, Washington Post Creative Group, The Foundry and The Magnolia Network. She is the director and producer of the documentary, Firebreak. She was the producer and creative lead for The Cabin Chronicles and the producer on season two of Growing Floret. Before joining the Blue Chalk team, she worked in visual communications roles at The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and Denver Westword. Kenzie is a graduate of the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism. She is also a certified Wildland Firefighter Type 2.
Greg Moyer - Executive Producer
Greg Moyer founded Blue Chalk Media in 2013 intending to create a world-class visual communications company whose productions demonstrate the power, importance, and appeal of documentary-style storytelling. Prior to Blue Chalk, Greg spent over 25 years in senior management roles for a variety of non-fiction television brands, including Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, VOOM HD and Food Network. While head of programming, Greg led Discovery to five George Foster Peabody Awards for editorial excellence. In his final role as a television channel executive, Greg managed the launch of the Food Network into 63 countries outside North America. At Blue Chalk, Moyer has executive produced programs nominated for three Daytime and Lifestyle Emmy Awards and oversaw production of another documentary project for public television awarded a regional Pacific Northwest Emmy honor.
Chris Janjic - Director of Photography
Chris Janjic specializes in non-fiction cinematography with a focus on character-driven work. He is known for his calm presence and collaborative approach. Chris served as Director of Photography and co-Producer on Firebreak, a feature-length documentary which premiered at the Bend Film Festival and went on to screen at the DC Environmental Film Festival and Capital City Film Festival. At Portland Panorama, it won the Bushra Azzouz Impact Award. As a director of photography, Chris has contributed to projects recognized by the National Daytime Emmy, Northwest Regional Emmy, AIB, Communicator, Telly, W3, and Webby Awards, among others. His clients include The New York Times, Adidas, Google, Max (formerly HBO), discovery+, Magnolia Network, Food Network, Wondrium, Coca-Cola, Gillette, Realtor.com, Jacobs Solutions, and Pearson. He has production experience in over 15 countries across five continents. Chris began his career in film as Associate Producer on Jay Myself, which premiered at DOCNYC. He earned his B.S. in Photojournalism from Syracuse University and is an alum of the Eddie Adams and Mountain Workshops.
Victoria Kelly - Producer/Storyteller
VVictoria Kelly is the author of four books of fiction and poetry, including When the Men Go Off to War and Homefront. Her novel Mrs. Houdini was a People Magazine Best New Book and a USA Today New and Noteworthy Book. Her poetry has been selected for the Best American Poetry series and her writing has appeared in The Chicago Tribune, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Baltimore Sun and more. She lives in Maryland with her husband, a Marine veteran, and their children. She is the granddaughter of an atomic veteran who was one of the first Americans in Nagasaki after the atomic bomb.
Karin Tanabe - Producer/Storyteller
Karin Tanabe, a Japanese American nisei, is a novelist and journalist living in Washington, DC. The author of seven novels published by St. Martin’s Press and Simon & Schuster, she is a former Politico reporter and frequent contributor to The Washington Post. Two of her books have been optioned for film and television, most recently A Woman of Intelligence to NBC Universal. Her writing has also appeared in HuffPost, Miami Herald, Chicago Tribune, Newsday, and dozens of other publications. She has been featured as a style and politics expert on CNN, E!, Entertainment Tonight, and CBS Early Show.
Tim McLaughlin - Editor
Tim is a documentary and commercial freelance editor based in Portland, ME, whose work has earned two Emmy nominations and recognition from Vimeo Staff Picks, the World Press Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and the Webby Awards. He has held senior editing roles at BlueChalk, GoodFight Media, and MediaStorm. His film and television work includes projects for National Geographic, PBS, Magnolia Network, USA Today, WSJ Magazine, and CNN, with credits streaming on HBO Max and Amazon Prime, among others.
